The theater of Chaillot requires an essential intervention to find functional and regulatory characteristics that the design of J. CARLU of 1936 no longer ensures.
– Restore public reception by rehabilitating the historic access on the Seine side, by reopening the very imposing historic facade on Place de Varsovie.
– Reconstruct a scenographic tool adapted to the renewed programming of the TNC.
– The current F. Gémier room has been completely rebuilt to offer a modular room with 390 seats, equipped with a very large backstage which increases the number of stage possibilities.
– Find logistical access and efficient decorations for the 2 rooms by digging a tunnel in the old quarries present under the Palais de Chaillot in order to reach the access of heavy vehicles by the avenue du President Wilson.
The renovation of these historic premises is accompanied by an upgrade to fire safety standards and accessibility to people with reduced mobility of the rehabilitated parts.
